Rocket League Season 2 Update 2020: Season 1 Rewards, Rocket Pass 2 Items, Rocket Labs, New Arena & More

Rocket League Season 2 Update New Contents & Features

After presenting the rewards for Season 1, Psyonix has an even bigger announcement for all Rocket League enthusiasts! The official trailer including its own soundtrack for Season 2 is here! This brings, among other things, a new arena, many new Rocket League items, a new battle car, a new Rocket Pass and much more into the game!

Rocket League Season 2 Update Release Date

Season 2 will start - as was already to be expected on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020.

Season 2 Rocket Pass & The New Battle Car: R3MX

New Rocket Pass - This season's Rocket Pass includes items that have a music theme, some of which will pulsate and light up with the beat of the menu and arena music! The car appropriately named R3MX and 70+ levels of unique items will be unlocked in the Rocket Pass Premium.

The star of the new Rocket Pass in the second season will be the new battle car "R3MX". As usual, you will unlock the first version of the car at level 1, if you decide to buy the Premium Pass. At level 70, the “R3MX GXT” is the highest “evolutionary level” or the full equipment.

In addition, you can earn numerous new decals such as “Filiformer” or “EQ-RL” with the Rocke Pass 2, and tire sets such as “Woofer” and “MTRX” are also included. "Riser" and "Light Show" are supposed to ensure even nicer goal explosions. Some of the most recently added items in the game already indicated the new "neon theme". Rocket League Season 1 Rewards 2020

With the start of Season 2, Season 1 will also end, and new rewards will be distributed to players who performed well in the first free Rocket League season. Below is the full list of Competitive Season 1 Title Rewards:

Grand Champion Title Rewards

To differentiate the original and new Season 1 titles, the names of the Grand Champion awards will be adjusted. All players who have achieved the rank of Grand Champion 1-3 from September to December 9th and have achieved at least ten victories for this and every league including them will receive the following titles in red letters:

Supersonic Legend Title Rewards

Of course, the new Rocket League Superstars are also rewarded according to their league and are awarded a whole range of completely new titles based on the game mode. These are in the "Titanium White" color, which is also popular with skins, and are as follows:

All first season rewards, including the titles listed above, will be awarded shortly after the start of the second season, which starts in December. These are reset with the start of the second season.

The Animated Decals

If you haven't noticed it yet, you can watch the universal decals in the video from Content Creator 'Dylbobz' again, which were unveiled some time ago and will be awarded as a reward for participating in Season 1 according to the league you have reached.

New Neon Fields Arena

This new EDM-inspired arena will be available in online playlists and private matches. For a long time, a new arena has also found its way into Rocket League with Season 2. This obviously differs very clearly from many other locations of the countless duels played in the many game modes. Neon colors shine everywhere, large monitors and fluorescent tubes create a futuristic feeling.

New Kaskade Music & The Player Anthems

The player anthems, which will appear in the game for the first time in the second season after the F2P changeover, are probably an even bigger surprise than the new arena. Soon you should be able to choose your favorite music from the list of the ever-growing Rocket League Soundtrack media library, which will be played every time you score in the game.

Many more details are due to be revealed tomorrow, Wednesday, December 2nd. A season that is completely dedicated to music also needs a headliner, according to the official announcement on Tuesday evening. That is why they have teamed up with Kaskade and want to produce many new tracks with the hitmakers as well as with the long-established partner and electronic music label Monstercat.

The latter have been producing memorable music and albums for the competitive video game from Psyonix for three years. The new musical influence in the game will start at the start of the second season with an EP by Kaskade specially produced for Rocket League. The first song has the appropriate title "Flip Reset".

Rocket Labs Return

Last but not least, a feature will return in Season 2 that Rocket League veterans should already know from the early years of the game. The Rocket Labs will appear from time to time in the form of Limited Time Modes (LTM) and offer the opportunity to get a taste of very experimental modes and arenas.

Among other things, classic football, as well as other modes and mutators, should be there. For even more seasoned fans of the franchise, there will soon be an even bigger surprise in the labs. A Rocket Labs card from Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars is said to reappear.
