Rocket League Season 11 has officially ended. And new Rocket League Season 12 update is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC, is soon coming to Nintendo Switch. The Rocket League update v1.16, which is live now, mainly focuses mainly focuses on Rocket Pass 4 and Season 11 Rewards. A bunch of new features, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes were executed during this update. Let's take a quick look at more details of the Rocket League Season 12 Update V1.66 Patch Notes.
Together with Season 11, Rocket Pass 3 is over. But there is no stopping: Rocket Pass 4 will begin on August 28th, bringing brand new Rocket League items (Free Rocket Pass 4 Rewards and Pro Rewards). You will be able to complete the challenges later than the previous one, such as completing the challenges given in Week 3 on Day 4, 5 or later. And if you only get the Premium later, that will also be true for the Premium Challenges.

At the end of the season, Psyonix always rewards players with an in-game item depending on their rank at the end of the season. This reward will now be a and you will also receive rewards for your highest rank and all those below. Those who have achieved the Grand Champion rank may even have the Season 11 Grand Champion inscribed under their names. Extra mode Grand Champion players also get extra caption like:

The new season begins with a soft reset. You need to play 10 qualifying matches to recalibrate your rankings, and if you win at least 5 you will throw in about the same rank.
For car mount items, if the item is painted, the full coloring name will be displayed on the item icon. If the item is painted and certified at the same time, the color of the paint will be printed in two-second increments and exactly what type of certified.
From the new season, we will be richer with three new statistical indicators. These are the High Five: when you score a goal and fly off in the air with one of your teammates; Low Five: If you kick a goal and roll off the ground, you kick each other out; or Swish Goal, that is, if you score a new goal in Hoops mode, it will not add to either the ring or the backboard. The first two apply in any game mode, while the latter only applies in basketball mode.
The game's audio files have also been improved and updated. The developers expect the game's audio files to sound even better in the future, which means better quality.
Additionally, bug fixes have been made, such as:
- In the end-of-game XP clearing window, if you had a Rocket Pass Premium, the color of the "XP strip" was incorrect. It will be now.
- In Double Goal and Tokyo Underpass, the shield symbolizing "protect your goal" on the goal line did not look good. This has been fixed.
- After the jump, on Xbox One, Slash Beam III no longer causes FPS to drop.
- Also, Nintendo Switch occasionally played audio files that were unreasonable or inappropriate. It won't be that way anymore.
- Finally, the various Paint Finish elements will look good on the Werewolf.
In addition, the developers have promised to fix issues such as: the backboard at Farmstead is currently not transparent when you are rolling on it and obstructing the wall; in the center of the Throwback Stadium, the ball indicator (that is, the ball below the ball) is not currently displayed due to a bug; or that as the creator of the ingame tournament you are not currently able to join the match as a spectator.

- Winning half of your placement matches will land you near your previous season ranking
- League Rankings will be temporarily empty until players complete their placement matches
- All placement match wins count towards your Bronze Season Reward Level progress
Certified and Painted Items
- Customization Items now display the full Paint color name inside the thumbnail (when applicable)
- This replaces the thin colored outline in the upper-right corner of the thumbnail
- When a Customization Item is both Painted and Certified, the Paint color and Certification labels rotate at regular, two-second intervals
New In-Game Stats
- 'High-Five'
- A 'High-Five' registers after a goal is scored by your team, and when you bump into a teammate above the goal
- 'Low-Five'
- A 'Low-Five' can only be done after a goal is scored by your team, and when you bump into a teammate at field level
- 'Swish Goal'
- A 'Swish Goal' registers when your goal does not touch the rim before going into the hoop
- Swish Goals are only available when playing the Hoops game mode

- The game's audio mix has been updated, including audio priority rebalancing, HDR audio, and object elevation
