With the Rocket League V1.70 Update coming live, crates have been automatically converted to unrevealed Blueprints 1: 1, which cannot be traded until they’re revealed, a process that doesn’t cost anything. By revealing the Blueprints, players can preview the item before building it with credits. Blueprints will be obtained from online matches, which can then be stored in the inventory, directly built with Credits, or traded with someone else after revealing. 

Though there is no more gambling on opening crates, but the buildable item on Blueprints are revealed randomly, so there is still the ratio of getting the Blueprints for high-value items such as black market decals, exotic wheels, or special edition items. According to the crates of different series, the blueprint is defined as the corresponding series such as Ferocity Series, it means reveal the blueprint you see one of item from the old Ferocity Crate you can build with it.
